Joseph Henry Mead, birth date unknown, died Jan. 20, 1899. Married March 20, 1850 to Kerturie (various spellings) Ann Cook who was born Feb. 11, 1830 and who died May 2, 1882. They had six children:

1. William Henry Mead, born Dec. 16, 1850 died May 30, 1895. Married Sept. 9, 1877 in Lenox, PA to Louise Clestine Chambers who was born March 26, 1858 and died March 19, 1933. They had five children: Dora Fidelia Mead, born June 23, 1897 and died Feb. 19, 1961. Married to Bert Truman Hall who was born Feb. 28, 1875 and who died May 28, 1934. He committed suicide by hanging himself in the barn. Aunt Dora's scream when she found him was heard three quarters of a mile away. They had four children: Lucy Ann born March 19, 1881, died Dec. 21, 1903, no children; Kattie M. born July 7a, 1888, died Dec. 31, 1888; Olive Adie (She was adopted out to the Ellis Tyler family on May 1, 1896. Her name became Ada Olive Tyler) She was born on July 17, 1892 and died Oct. 14, 1954. She married June 14, 1922 Grover Cleveland Packer who was born Jan. 16, 1886 and died April 21, 1962. The had three children: Effie Anna, ( born March 28, 1923, married Lloyd Carl Potter who was born May 16, 1921 and died Oct. 15, 2008. ) Evelyn, and Mabel Lucille; Bert Anderson (He was adopted out by the Brown family and was known as Bert Brown) He was born July 17, 1893, died Feb. 6, 1979. He married June 16, 1920 Georgia Martha Loomis who was born April 26, 1899. They had three children. 

2. Hibbard Mead born June 3, 1856 died Feb. 27, 1863.

3. George Newell Mead born Nov. 1, 1862 died March 10, 1900. He married, date unknown Eve Leana Seeley who was born Dec. 16, 1882 and died Oct. 14, 1963. They had no children. 

4. Carrie Elizabeth Mead born Sept. 1, 1866 and died Dec. 12, 1930. She married twice-no children. Husbands: Gorden Hendrickson, date unknown, Frank Masten born July 3, 1882 died March 17, 1944.

5. Mary Jane Mead born Oct. 22, 1868, death date unknown.

6. Ida Ellen Mead born Sept. 28, 1873, died March 19, 1902. Married Otis DeLong Nov. 12, 1890. One child: William DeLong.
